School Summer Holiday Security Tips for Students

1. COVID-19 precautions:
Please wear a face mask during the Covid-19 pandemic, avoid poorly ventilated spaces and crowds, and wash your hands frequently.

2. Safety of the individual:
(1). Avoid isolated areas and dangerous places, and do not walk alone at night in dark alleys.

(2). Be aware of suspects. If you find yourself being followed by strangers, call out loud for assistance and dial 110 for the police.

(3). Avoid traveling to places alone, do not leave your drinks or food unattended, and do not consume alcohol or food that you do not buy yourself.

3. Fraud prevention:
Stay alert for ATM fraud, internet fraud (online shopping, auction scams), and credit-for-sex scams/dating and romance scams.
Report any suspicions of fraud by calling 165, the anti-fraud hotline.

4. Safety tips for students working during the summer:
If you have doubts about the legality and safety of your choice of employment during the summer, please dial 1955, Counseling and Protection Hotline for Foreign Workers, to seek assistance.

5. Safety on the road:
You should pay attention to your own safety when riding a motorcycle or bicycle. Adhere to traffic rules and regulations, and do not drive under the influence of alcohol, fatigue, or dangerous driving.

6. Stay away from drug abuse:
It is important that you maintain a normal lifestyle during the summer vacation. Do not attempt to use illicit drugs out of curiosity.

7. In the event of an accident or emergency during the summer, please report to NTUT's Campus Security Office:
