What is ELTA?
English Language Teaching Assistant (ELTA) program aims to recruit part-time quality English teaching assistants to provide a rich and diverse English learning environment for students in Taiwan’s public elementary and junior high schools.
Who are ELTAs?
ELTAs, or English Language Teaching Assistant, works primarily with students from elementary to junior-high school and cooperates with English Resources Centers. ELTAs are incorporated to inject a scope of linguistic and cultural sensitivity through English education, and can expect to be:
1 English Summer/Winter Camp Leader
2 Thematic Lesson Teaching Assistant
3 English Conversation Partner
4 English Competition Trainer
5 Club Activity Leader
ELTAs are foreign college students interested in gaining direct experience with the sorts of teaching and coaching that comes with English learning. Collegiate candidate must command English proficiency comparable to, or surpassing, that of B2-C2 of the Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR). Native English speaker is a plus. Work permit and police criminal record certificate are essential.
*No Chinese language skills and teaching experience are required.
