Taipei Tech Scholarships
NTUT Chinese-Proficient Scholarship (Hua Yu Scholarship)
Applicable to international students with outstanding Chinese language proficiency.
- For:
- First-time applicants (new or current students):
Must have achieved at least TOCFL Level 3 (B1 CEFR equivalent) or above. - Re-applicants (current students, second time or above):
- Must have reached at least TOCFL Level 3 and advanced by at least one level (except for those who have already reached the highest level, Level 6).
- Must have an average academic score of at least 70 and a conduct score of at least 80 in the previous academic year (two semesters).
- First-time applicants (new or current students):
- Award: 50% tuition and fees waiver for one academic year (two semesters).
- Apply:
- New international students: Apply together with the admission application.
- Current students: Applications are accepted annually in July.
TOCFL Test Registration Fee Subsidy
Provides annual TOCFL test registration subsidy for eligible international students and overseas Chinese.
- For: NTUT international students who have completed the TOCFL and demonstrate improvement in Chinese proficiency or achieve at least B1 (TOCFL Level 3) on their first attempt.
- Award: Up to NTD 2,000 per student for the TOCFL test fee (rolling review).
- Apply: Submit required documents to OIA after obtaining the official TOCFL score report.

NTUT International Undergraduate Student Scholarship: President Award
For outstanding new international freshmen selected by departments/colleges.
- For: New international undergraduate students
- Award: 1 year — Full tuition waiver + Monthly stipend NT$8,000 or NT$15,000
- Apply: During admission application
NTUT Outstanding Academic Achievement Scholarship
For current international students with excellent academic performance and special achievements.
- For: Current international undergraduate students at our university who have completed at least one full academic year of study (enrolled from the 2024 Fall semester onward) and have demonstrated outstanding academic performance and overall achievement.
- Award: Up to 3 years — Monthly stipend NT$8,000 or NT$15,000 (based on performance)
- Apply: Nominated by departments each semester and reviewed by NTUT committees.

NTUT International Graduate Student Scholarship for Master's
Tuition waiver and stipend for outstanding international and overseas Chinese master’s students.
- For:
- New international and overseas Chinese master’s students
- Current international and overseas Chinese master’s students
- Award:
- 1st year — Full tuition waiver + NT$6,000 monthly stipend
- 2nd year — Full tuition waiver (renewal based on academic performance)
- Apply:
- New international and overseas Chinese master’s students: Apply during admission
- Current international and overseas Chinese master's students: reviewed by NTUT scholarship committee

NTUT International Graduate Student Scholarship for PhD
Tuition waiver and stipend for outstanding international and overseas Chinese PhD students.
- For:
- New international and overseas Chinese PhD students
- Current international and overseas Chinese PhD students
- Award:
- 1st year — Full tuition waiver + NT$12,000 monthly stipend
- 2nd year — Full tuition waiver + NT$12,000 monthly stipend (renewal based on academic performance and publication)
- 3rd year — Full tuition waiver + NT$12,000 monthly stipend (renewal based on academic performance and publication)
- 4th year — Full tuition waiver + NT$12,000 monthly stipend (renewal based on academic performance and publication)
- Apply:
- New international and overseas Chinese PhD students: Apply during admission
- Current international and overseas Chinese PhD students: reviewed by NTUT scholarship committee

Taiwan Government Scholarships
MOFA Taiwan Scholarship
For students from countries that have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
- For: New international undergraduate students from countries that have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan
- Award: 4 years — 50% tuition waiver + NT$33,000 monthly stipend
- Apply: Apply through ROC embassies/representative offices before enrollment (not NTUT)
MOE Taiwan Scholarship
For students from countries that does not have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
- For: New international undergraduate students from countries that does not have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan
- Award: 4 years — Full tuition waiver + NT$15,000 monthly stipend
- Apply: Apply through ROC embassies/representative offices before enrollment (not NTUT)

MOE-Elite Scholarship Program for Lecturers from South East or South Asia
For newly admitted PhD students from New Southbound or South Asian countries who are currently employed as university lecturers in eligible countries.
- For: New international PhD students who are nationals of eligible New Southbound or South Asian countries and are currently employed as lecturers at universities located in eligible countries.
- Award: Full tuition waiver + monthly stipend, subject to MOE regulations and final approval.
- Apply: Applicants must first obtain admission to a full-time PhD program at Taipei Tech. After enrollment, the application will be processed with assistance from the Office of International Affairs. Applicants must provide an up-to-date lecturer employment certificate issued by their current university.
MOE-Elite Scholarship Program for Lecturers from African countries
For newly admitted PhD students from African countries who are currently employed as university lecturers in African countries.
- For: New international PhD students who are nationals of African countries and are currently employed as lecturers at universities located in African countries.
- Award: Full tuition waiver + monthly stipend, subject to MOE regulations and final approval.
- Apply: Applicants must first obtain admission to a full-time PhD program at Taipei Tech. After enrollment, the application will be processed with assistance from the Office of International Affairs. Applicants must provide an up-to-date lecturer employment certificate issued by their current university.
