Here at Taipei Tech we believe that education in the form of studying and living in different geographic and cultural settings will help students widen their educational horizons, broaden their perspectives and enhance their understanding of the world.
Taipei Tech’s Student Exchange Program (incoming) aims to do just that – to provide students from partner universities a chance to study at Taipei Tech for academic enhancment and experiencing local culture.
Perspective students can choose to be credit seeking or lab/ research based training student.

Credit-Seeking Student
Eligibility
If you are interested in coming to Taipei Tech as exchange student (Credit Seeking), you should :
- Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at one of Taipei Tech's partner universities.
- Have successfully completed at least one year of academic study at your university.
- Be proficient in English or Chinese.
- Have a strong interest in living in Taiwan and ready to experience cultural differences.
Planning
- Discuss the needs and expectations with the staff in charge of exchange programs at your university.
- Browse the courses you intend to study during your stay at Taipei Tech.
- Consult your advisor about course registration. This is to make sure that the courses taken at Taipei Tech can be accredited and transferred back to your university.
Admission for 2025 Spring semester. [ Fact Sheet - LINK ]
- The institutional coordinator will nominate the student/s for semester exchange on this webpage: https://ntutincoming-coordinator.my.canva.site/2025
- As soon as the nomination is complete, the nominee/s will complete the online application (filling in information and uploading required documents, including Stamped application Form.). The link will send to nominee/s once we receive nomination.
- After internal review, Taipei Tech will notify the applicant/s of the result and issue the acceptance letter file stating the student’s name and duration of the stay via email.
- The nominee/s will print the acceptance letter out to apply for the appropriate visa if necessary.
- Please make sure to obtain an appropriate entry VISA before departure ( Information Here).

Application Form - For Students only [Can be download Here ] This is a part of application. After being nominated by your home university coordinator, you'll receive the application link (a Google Form) via email, through which you can upload the signed and stamped application form.

Require Documents (English Version)
These document files will be uploaded via Google form (electronic file).
- Application form. Please sign and have it stamped by your home university (PDF)
- Statement of Purpose. Please indicate why you choose to participate in the student exchange program (PDF)
- Official transcript of academic records issued by home university (color scanned)
- Official enrollment verification issued by home university (color scanned)
- Photocopy of passport (color scanned)
- One recommendation letter (color scanned)
- Passport-size photo (JPEG)
Physical Examincation (Health Check-Up)
All the Incoming Credit Seeking Exchange Students will be required to participate in Physical Examination (Health check-up) after arrival. The examination includes MEASLES, RUBELLA and CHEST X-ray for TUBERCULOSIS.
- Examination Fee
Total cost is around NT$750 ~ $1400.
1. Chest X-ray NT$ 150
2. MEASLES and RUBELLA vaccine NT$ 600
3. Extra Blood Test NT$ 650 - Examination Required Documents
Please bring the following documents with printed paper copy before going to the clinic.
🚩Student staying for 1 semester shall bring the passport, MEASLES and RUBELLA Vaccine certificates
🚩Student staying for 2 semesters shall bring the passport, Health Certificate for Residence Visa Application (居留或定居健康檢查項目表) valid for 3 months (Sample. Paper copy can be acquired from the ROC Embassies or Missions Abroad.)
Lab / Research Based Training Student
Eligibility
If you are interested in coming to Taipei Tech as exchange student (Lab / Research), you should :
- Be a full-time student at one of Taipei Tech's partner universities, doctoral student is highly recommended.
- Have successfully completed at least one year of academic study at your university.
- Be proficient in English or Chinese.
- The applicant is expected to demonstrate the eligible academic/research competence to participate and contribute in the laboratory he/she apply for, usually doctoral students are highly preferable.
- The applicant is expected to acquire the academic background and training in the field he/she apply for.
