2025 Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students from Northern Thailand and Myanmar in Taiwan (Undergraduate)

I. Eligibility:

Financial hardship for overseas Chinese students from Northern Thailand and Myanmar studying in universities and colleges in Taiwan (including fourth- and fifth-year students of five-year junior colleges).

Academic performance of 70 points or above, or class ranking (position/class size) within the top 50%.

Conduct grade of 80 points or above, with no failed subjects.

Excludes government-funded students, graduate students, and students with extended study periods.


II. Subsidy Principles:

The Chinese Association for Relief and Ensuing Services will review and approve 50 students annually, with each receiving NT$10,000.

25 scholarships are allocated to overseas Chinese students from Northern Thailand and 25 to those from Myanmar.


III. Application Materials:

Scholarship application form (attached file).

One copy of the enrollment certificate.

A copy of the academic transcript for the first semester of the 2024 academic year (including academic performance, conduct grade, and class ranking), stamped with the school's official seal.

A copy of the graduation certificate from a Chinese language school in Northern Thailand or Myanmar.

Proof of financial hardship (issued by the Chinese school from which the student graduated before coming to Taiwan or by the local self-governing association in the student's place of residence).

A copy of the applicant's personal bank account, to be attached to the back of the application form.


IV. Application Deadline:

Applications must be submitted to the Overseas Students Advising Section, Office of International Affairs.

The deadline is 16:00 on Friday, March 21, 2025.
