Announcement ｜ Revised May 5, 2026 — Effective from Semester 1, Academic Year 115
NTUT Chinese-Proficient International Student Scholarship — Policy Update
Three scholarship/subsidy programs are available. Please check your eligibility based on student type.
Once per academic year
50% Tuition Fee Waiver
Covers 50% of tuition and fees for the academic year (excludes admin fees, housing, insurance, etc.)
Eligible International studentsNew international students (Not available to overseas compatriot students or extended-year students)
Language req. TOCFL Level 3 or above (CEFR B1) or equivalent proof
First-time TOCFL Level 3 or above is sufficient (new students assessed during admission)
Renewal Previous academic year GPA ≥ 70 and conduct score ≥ 80, plus at least one TOCFL level improvement from the previous application
⚠ Cannot be combined with other scholarships from the ROC government or NTUT.

TOCFL Test Fee Subsidy
NT$2,000 per application (subject to annual budget availability)
Eligible International students (current)Overseas compatriot students (current)
First-time TOCFL score submitted must be Level 3 or above
2nd time onward Each application must show at least one level improvement over the previous application (Level 6 may only be used once)
⚠ Cannot be combined with subsidies under the MOE "International Student Taiwan Employment Program."

Chinese Language Center Course Subsidy
Course tuition subsidy + additional NT$2,000 bonus for eligible students
Eligible International students (current)Overseas compatriot students (current)
Requirements Submit proof of enrollment for the current semester and sign a declaration; register during the period announced by the Chinese Language Center
NT$2,000 bonus Submit TOCFL Level 3 or above certificate within 3 months of course completion; from the 2nd application onward, score must improve by at least one level each time
Attendance Minimum 80% attendance required — failure to meet this will result in cancellation of the subsidy
