Buddy Learning &Co- Learning Program

National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) Buddy Learning Pilot Program

NTUT has established the Buddy Learning Pilot Program to support students facing learning difficulties and enhance their academic performance. The Office of International Affairs has also developed specific regulations for international students to aid their adjustment and provide necessary academic support.

  1. Eligibility: International students currently enrolled at our university (excluding students from Mainland China) who need academic assistance due to falling behind or having failed courses.
  2. Implementation Guidelines:
    (a) Tutoring is available for compulsory courses only, through one-on-one or one-to-three sessions.
    (b) Each student may apply for tutoring in one course per semester, with at least 2 hours per week and 25 hours total.
    (c) Sessions are held Monday to Friday in the university library or computer labs.
  3. Application Procedure:

Submit the NTUT Buddy Learning Program Application Form and Affidavit, along with relevant documents, to the Overseas Students Advising Section of the OIA during the application periods.

  1. Eligibility for Tutor Applicant:

Students are required to provide academic transcripts and language proficiency certificates.

National Taipei University of Technology Overseas Students Co-Learning Community

To enhance students' self-learning abilities, foster interdisciplinary learning, broaden cultural perspectives, and promote teamwork, National Taipei University of Technology has established the "NTUT Overseas Students Co-Learning Community Pilot Program" to support students' personal growth and integration into the campus learning environment.
 

  1. Eligibility: Students currently enrolled at NTUT (excluding Mainland Chinese Students)
  2. Submit a completed and signed hard copy of Attachment 1: NTUT Overseas Students Co-Learning Community Member Application Form to Amanda Wang at hwang@ntut.edu.tw by 17:00 on September 27, 2024. Also, email an electronic copy to the Office of International Affairs liaison.
  3. Discussion Themes for Co-Learning Communities (listed by funding priority, with the top three being primary):

1. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals: Focus on addressing aspects such as overcoming poverty, promoting food security, ensuring good health and

quality education, achieving gender equality, and advancing environmental protection.

2. Media and Arts: Various forms of artistic and cultural expression, including film, music, visual arts, and digital media.

3. Interdisciplinary Themes: Explore the interactions and intersections among different disciplines, including technology and society, as well as environment and health.

4. Specialty Research: In-depth studies on specific issues or themes, including climate change, the application of artificial intelligence, and business innovation.

5. Professional Development: Enhancing career knowledge and skills, including career planning and industry trend analysis.

6. Practical Skills: Developing hands-on skills and knowledge, including writing techniques, communication skills, and leadership.

7. Culture and Diversity: Promoting communication and understanding among different cultural backgrounds, values, and identity recognition.

8. Classical and Professional Studies: Study of classical literature, philosophy, and history from both Eastern and Western traditions, as well as professional school subjects.
